Marie Kathryn ‘Kathy’ Woods

Waitress collected dolls, loved crafts

- — Kathy was born in Sharon on June 24, 1931, the daughter of Joseph and Kathryn (Yarbenetz) Gianoglio.

She had worked as a waitress at the former New Villa Restaurant in Farrell. She had also worked at Coney Island and the former Dinner Bell, both in Sharon.

Kathy was a collector of dolls and knick-knacks and loved her dogs. She enjoyed doing crafts and watching soap operas.

She was of the Catholic faith.

She was the widow of Robert  Woods, who died in 1996.

She is survived by: two daughters, Elaine Williams of Sharon, and Patricia Elifritz and her husband, Phil, of New Philadelphia, Ohio; two sons, Joseph L. Williams and his wife, Bonnie Jean, of Spring Valley, Calif., and Gary Swaim and his wife, Karen, of Sevierville, Tenn.; a brother, Kenneth Gianoglio and his wife, Faith, of Sharpsville; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: three brothers, Ed, Bill, and Charles; and her great-granddaughter.

Calling hours: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday (12-9-13) at HAROLD W. STEVENSON FUNERAL HOME, 264 E. State St., Sharon.

Service: 1 p.m., Monday (12-9-13) at the funeral home with Monsignor Salvatore Mitchell officiating.

Interment: St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hermitage
