Estelle A. Adams, Burghill, passed away Friday morning, (5-24-13). She was 86.
She was born Nov. 11, 1926, in Jeanette, Pa., the daughter of John and Stella A. Bitlyan Ledney.
She retired from Town and Country Florist in Sharon, as the owner and operator.
She had previously worked at G.C. Murphy and Kraynak’s.
Estelle was a member of St. John’s Orthodox Church in Hermitage, where she was a past church officer.
She was also a member of the Badger athletic boosters. She worked many years for fundraisers for athletics and the Badger band.
Her favorite pastime was her family and attending her grandchildren’s events.
On Oct. 12, 1946, she married Arthur “Tag” Adams, who passed away Dec. 13, 2002.
She is survived by four daughters: Elaine (Ronald) Callen of Jamestown, Susan (David) Bonar, Lisa (Jim) Flowers, and Lori (John) Lattin, all of Hartford; two sons, Hank (Carol) Adams of Arlee, Mont. and Mark (Pam) Adams of Jamestown.
She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Kelly Callen-Figiel, Melissa Hutchison, Kimberly and Lorraine Callen, Steve Adams, Sara Morton, Christine Baldwin, Samantha and Sarah Bonar, Kayla and Kelsey Flowers, Valerie and Ryan Lattin and Taylar Adams; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Van Zanten of South Pymatuning Township, and two sister-in-laws, Ruth Judy of Hartford and Kathryn Ledney of Sharpsville.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Calling hours: 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday (5-28-13) in GALLOWAY-ONSTOTT FUNERAL HOME, 3451 SR 7, Hartford. A Panachida service will be held at 7:45 p.m.
Service: Funeral services will be noon Wednesday (5-29-13) in St. John’s Orthodox Church, Hermitage, with the Rev. David Mastroberte, officiating. Mourners will meet at the church for the service.
Burial: St. John’s Cemetery, Hermitage.
