Charles W. Bailey, 9 Penn Ave., Greenville, passed away at 8:58 a.m. Friday (7-11-14) in UPMC Horizon, Greenville. He was 62.
Mr. Bailey was born Feb. 18, 1952, in Greenville to George and Jo Ann Allen Bailey, and was raised by his paternal grandmother, Vernie Mae Bailey.
He was maintenance supervisor of Greenville House for 31 years.
Charles was of the Protestant faith and a member of Greenville Family Moose Center Lodge 276.
An avid bowler, he was active in several leagues in the Greenville area for more than 35 years and had recorded one 300 game.
He enjoyed traveling and making trips to casinos.
On Aug. 22, 1987, he married the former Sally J. Stambaugh, who survives at home.
Also surviving are: three sons, Charles Carter and his wife Sandy, Tionesta; and Steven Carter and Eric Bailey, both Greenville; a daughter, Brenda Bailey, Greenville; a sister, Theora “Sis” Riley and her husband Mike, and a brother, Bruce Bailey and his wife Tracey, all Transfer; and seven grandchildren, Zachariah Carter, Megan Carter, Dustin Carter, Sean Carter, Christine Kahle, Cameron Gehr and Jayden Gehr.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lorretta Bailey.

Interment: With committal in Morefield Cemetery, Hermitage.
