Claudia L. Plummer

Notre Dame church member was homemaker

---- — Claudia L. Plummer, Winner Road, Hermitage, passed away peacefully at 5 p.m. Tuesday (5-7-13) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System of natural causes. She was 85.

Mrs. Plummer was born Dec. 23, 1927, in Logan Township, Blair County, a daughter of Raymond and Malissa Miller Sherry.

She graduated in 1946 from Blacklick Valley High School, Nanty Glo, Pa.

Mrs. Plummer was a member of Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.

A devoted homemaker, she was a loving mother of four children. One of Claudia’s fondest memories were family camping trips. She enjoyed listening to country music and watching the Grand Ole Opry.

Her husband, George E. Plummer, whom she married June 22, 1948, in Cresson, Pa., passed away June 7, 1993.

Claudia is survived by her daughter, Mary Weaver and her husband Ken, Hermitage, with whom she made her home; and three sons, Randy Plummer and his wife Dee, Phoenix; Barry Plummer and his wife Chris, Farrell; and Daniel Plummer and his wife Nicole, Tyrone, Pa.

She also leaves behind to cherish her memory nine grandchildren, Joshua and Jaime Weaver, Melissa Tannehill, Sara Cwik, Neil and Erin Plummer; and Kyle, Kaitlyn and Kolton Plummer. She also leaves her four great-grandchildren, Nathan and Ryan Tannehill; and Zachary and Abigail Cwik.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ralph.

Her family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the kind people at Sharon Regional Hospice and Palliative Care, 2320 Highland Ave., Hermitage, PA 16148.

Service: Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. Monday (5-13-13) in Church of Notre Dame, 2325 Highland Road, Hermitage, with the Rev. Jeffery J. Noble, pastor, as celebrant. A procession will leave for the church at 10 a.m.

Interment: Mount Washington Cemetery, Jefferson Township, with committal prayers in the Clyde Jewell Memorial Chapel.
