Victor Printing retiree had floral shop in Hartstown


---- — Donald R. Pifer of Sharon, formerly of Greenville, passed away at 4:22 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, in Clepper Manor, Sharon. He was 80.

Mr. Pifer was born Dec. 12, 1932, in Greenville to Daniel L. and Tressa M. Sorber Pifer.

He attended the former Penn High School, Greenville.

Donald worked for 35 years as a cameraman at Victor Printing, Sharon, retiring in 1995. He also owned a floral shop in Hartstown.

Donald was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed gardening, traveling and playing the piano.

Surviving are three sisters, Norma Dickens, Sharon; Arlene Hunt and her husband Robert, Greenville; and Muriel Schell and her husband Wesley, Florida; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marion Vickens; and four brothers, Arthur, Russell, Harold and Harland Pifer.

Service: At the request of Donald, there will be no services.

Burial: Cremation in JOHN FLYNN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY Inc., 2630 E. State St., Hermitage.
