John S. Mora

Former trucker loved family, golf, skiing

- — Born May 19, 1942 in Ellwood City, Mr. Mora was the son of the late Stanley and Florence “Flo” Marapese Mora.

He is survived by his wife, the former Betsy Gunther, whom he married in February 1990.

Mr. Mora was a truck driver, retiring in 2004, and was a member of the Teamsters union. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed snow skiing. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy and was so important to him.

John was a former member of St. Vitus Church, New Castle.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three children; John T. Mora and his wife, Kathleen, Stafford County, Va.; Jill Mora, Wilmington, N.C.; and Joseph Toscano, New Castle; a brother, Ronald Mora, Chewton, Pa.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild and his dog, Chuck.

Service: A blessing service will be held at noon Tuesday (12-3-13) in the funeral home. Father Frank Almade of St. Vitus Church will officiate.

Interment: Clinton Cemetery, Wampum.
