CLEVELAND — Robert Peter Winslow of University Heights, Ohio, died from complications arising from surgery on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013. He was 85.

Born Aug. 25, 1928, Bob operated and managed medical laboratories by profession over a career spanning more than 40 years – starting out as a medical technician at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Warren, Ohio, then at Polyclinic Hospital in Cleveland. He subsequently ran his own business, the Miles Medical Laboratory, which served the medical community for more than 26 years.

A veteran of the Korean conflict, he served in the U.S. Army in 1952 and 1953.

His life was characterized by his devotion to the Catholic faith, his close family and friends and professional service to others. He was an avid tennis player, award-winning amateur winemaker and published horologist.
