Sharpsville teacher had jewelry, furniture hobbies


- — A memorial service will be held Oct. 26 for Kathy J. Kelly, a resident of Greenville since 2008, formerly of Coolspring Township. She passed away at 12:04 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, in UPMC Horizon, Greenville, of an illness since June 6 of this year. She was 54.

Ms. Kelly was born March 9, 1959, in Bradford, Pa., to Robert and Lucy Nelson Titus.

She was a graduate of Bradford High School, class of 1977; and Penn State University, class of 1981.

Kathy retired 2009 from Sharpsville Area School District, where she was a special education teacher.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Kathy enjoyed making jewelry and repurposing furniture.

She was formerly married to Andrew T. Kelly.

Surviving are: two children, Erin M. Kelly, Aliquippa; and Sean A. Kelly, Warren, Ohio; her mother, Lucy Titus, Bradford; two sisters, Ronnie Titus-Allison, Apollo, Pa.; and Marsha Buhl, Kane, Pa.; and two brothers, Jeff Titus, North Carolina; and Tim Titus, Bradford.

She was preceded in death by her father and sister, Julie Cathie.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions in Kathy’s memory may be made by visiting to donate to organizations Kathy was passionate about.

Service: Memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at 27 Morgan St., Greenville, PA 16125, for anyone wishing to celebrate her life.
