Nancy Louise King Flannery

Homemaker, babysitter liked to play bingo, lottery


- — Nancy Louise King Flannery of 447 E. Venango St., Mercer, passed away Monday morning, Oct. 21, 2013, in her residence. She was 71.

Mrs. Flannery was born Dec. 23, 1941, in Mercer to Lester and Luella Sidley King.

She previously worked for Mercer Area Junior/Senior High School and Brandy Springs Park, and was a babysitter to many young children.

A homemaker, she was a member of Mercer United Methodist Church.

Nancy was an avid bingo and lottery player.

Her husband, William W. Flannery, whom she married Nov. 16, 1957, survives at the residence.

Also surviving are: three daughters, Kay wife of Gary Baker, Mercer; Tammy Flannery, Florida; and Becky Flannery, Sandy Lake; two sons, Mark Flannery, Hermitage; and Kurt Flannery and his wife Traci, Mercer; three brothers, Wayne King and his wife Donna, Mercer; John William King and his wife Phyllis, Wilmington, Del.; and Russell King, Cocoa, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.

Her loving dog, Bella, also survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Betty Yeager and Pauline Marsh; and two brothers, Robert and Norman King.

Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday (10-25-13) in the funeral home with the Rev. Eric C. Leonard, pastor of Mercer United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment: Coolspring (Township) Cemetery.
