Thomas ‘Tom’ D. Miller

Former Sharon man was 1973 Reynolds graduate


- — A memorial celebration of life service will be held Monday for Thomas “Tom” D. Miller, Hospitality Care Center, Hermitage, formerly of Sherman Avenue, Sharon. He passed away at 4:36 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, after an extended illness. He was 58.

Mr. Miller was born June 20, 1955, in New Castle to John and Thelma “Queenie” Stiger Miller.

He was a 1973 graduate of Reynolds High School.

Tom was happiest when surrounded by all his grandchildren. He was a fan of World Wrestling Federation, working puzzles, reading books and baking cookies at Christmastime with his friends.

He also enjoyed many activities at Hospitality Care Center, where he made many friends, especially his roommate. He will be sadly missed.

His wife of 35 years, Kathleen Miller, whom he married Aug. 12, 1976, passed away Oct. 8, 2011.

Tom is survived b: two stepdaughters, Pauline Harris, Erie; and Jennifer Sailar and her husband Richard, Sharon; his son, Bradley Miller, Sharon; five stepgrandchildren, Christopher Harris, Gerald Splitstone III, Ryan Harris, Samantha Harris and Joshua Sailar; five grandchildren, Ashlyn, Isaiah, Caleigh, Alivia and Garyn Zajac; a stepgreat-granddaughter, Renee Butler; and his brother, John P. Miller and his wife Peggy, West Middlesex.

In addition to his wife, Tom was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Carol Miller.

Calling hours: 5 p.m. to time of service Monday (11-4-13) in Grace Chapel Community Church, 4075 Lamor Road, Hermitage.
