- — Stella A. Rupert, formerly of New Lebanon Borough, Sandy Lake, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Sunday (11-3-13) at Wesbury United Methodist Community, Meadville, after a short illness. She was 99.

Born April 9, 1914, in Sandy Lake, she was a daughter of Charles W. and Anna I. Barber Vath.

She attended the former Sandy Lake High School.

In her early years she worked at the Vengold Dairy and the Sandy Lake Diner and then Polk State School and Hospital, now Polk Center.

Most of all she was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking, and was especially known for her dinner rolls.

She was a member of New Lebanon Community Church and the Ladies Aid Society.

Mrs. Rupert was a longtime member of the New Lebanon Grange and a member of the Lady Worth Rebekah Lodge 328.

Her husband, Clair A. Rupert, whom she married Aug. 25, 1937, preceded her in death June 7, 1997.

Survivors include: a daughter, Lois E. Morrison and her husband John D., Cochranton; and a son Richard L. Rupert and his wife Joyce, Cooperstown, Pa; seven grandchildren, Carrie (Jonathan) Fleming, Matthew Rupert, Erin (Collin) John, Andrew Rupert, Amy (Duane) Jacobs, Michael (Heather) Morrison and Julie (Kevin) Anundson; six great grandchildren, Sara and Logan Jacobs, Paige and Dylan Anundson, Trey Morrison and Rhiannon Fleming; and two great-great- grandchildren: Ryker and Camdon Morrison.

She was preceded in death by: her parents and husband; two sisters, Clara Lewis and Myrtle Wilson; and four brothers, Albert, Theodore, Homer and Raymond Vath.

Funeral and committal services: 11 a.m. Wednesday (11-6-13) in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Richard C. Steinlechner, pastor of New Lebanon Community Church, officiating.

Interment: New Lebanon Cemetery, Mill Creek Township.
