Mary E. Brazel, formerly of 20 Jones St., Stoneboro, passed away after a short illness with her children at her side at 6:03 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, in Trinity Living Center, Grove City. She was 80 years old.
Born on Nov. 14, 1932, in Oil City, Mrs. Brazel was a daughter of William and Ruth V. Lynam Holder. She was reared by her mother, Ruth, and stepfather, Paul E. Hazelton.
She was a 1950 graduate of Rocky Grove High School.
Mary worked as an assembler for more than 16 years at I.T.T. Reznor, Mercer, now a division of Thomas & Betts, retiring in 1997.
She was of the Catholic faith.
Mary loved to read and work crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Most of all, she loved her family and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by: three daughters, Carolee Woods and her husband David “Skip” Woods, Sandy Lake; Lynn Craig and her husband Don, Dover, Pa.; and Melissa Badamo and her husband David, Pittsburgh; a son, Kenneth A. Brazel and his companion Traci, Sharpsville; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Georgia “Punk” Keas and her husband Jay, Frostproof, Fla.; Helen “Button” Young and her husband Clyde “Doc” Young, Franklin; Virginia “Suzie” Atnip and her husband Jack, Columbia, Tenn.; and Elizabeth “Betty” Black and her husband Jim, Cranberry; and two brothers, David Hazelton and his wife Connie, Millsboro, Del.; and Fred Hazelton and his wife Joan, New Cumberland, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and a brother.

Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake Township.
