Nancy Ellen Hoban

Active Good Shepherd member was nurse


- — Nancy Ellen Hoban of New Wilmington died at 10 a.m. Friday in Jameson Hospital, New Castle. She was 70.

Mrs. Hoban was born May 4, 1943, in Sharon, a daughter to Charles S. Burgoon and Dorothy Jones Burgoon.

Nancy was a 1961 graduate of Hickory High School and a graduate of Sharon Regional School of Nursing, earning her registered nurse degree.

She was an RN at St. Francis Hospital and retired from what was then Jameson Hospital in New Castle.

She married Thomas G. Hoban on May 25, 1968.

Mrs. Hoban was an active member of Church of the Good Shepherd, West Middlesex, where she served as a lector and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas G. Hoban, at home; a daughter, Colleen Hoban, Sharpsville; two brothers, Charles Burgoon, Fredonia; and David Burgoon and his wife Denise, McCammon, Idaho; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Service: Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday (11-12-13) in Church of the Good Shepherd, 3613 Sharon Road, West Middlesex, wth Monsignor Robert Malene as celebrant.
