Theodore ‘Ted’ J. Supel

---- — ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Theodore “Ted” J. Supel of St. Petersburg passed away Monday (4-22-13) in Edward White Hospital in St. Petersburg. He was 87 years old.

Born Dec. 8, 1925, in Farrell, Mr. Supel was a son of Joseph and Mary Stawarz Supel.

He graduated from Sharon High School and Youngstown State University.

He retired as an auditor for Western & Southern Life Insurance Co.

He was an Army veteran.

Ted loved music and, as a saxophone and clarinet player, he played in many local bands.

Surviving at home is his wife of 63 years, the former Veronica O’Kresik, whom he married July 9, 1949.

Also surviving are: three daughters, Vicky Brockman and her husband Dave, Houston; Rebecca Adkins, Pinellas Park, Fla.: and Carol Wagenshutz and her husband Clyde, Sweeny, Texas; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Mrs. Donald (Irene) Harrison, Sharon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Theodore A. Supel; and a grandson, Alan Crowder.
