Chrissanthi ‘Chriss’ Reese

Ex-Farrell woman worked in retail, was noted cook

---- — Chrissanthi “Chriss” Reese, Rock Run Road, McMurray, Pa., formerly of Roemer Boulevard, Farrell, passed away at 5:20 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2013, in the Center for Compassionate Care, Pittsburgh, following a short but courageous battle with lung cancer. She was 71.

Mrs. Reese was born June 17, 1941, in Sharon, a daughter of Steve and Despina Capetan George Moscovitis.

She was a 1960 graduate of Farrell High School and attended Youngstown State University.

Having been raised in the Orthodox faith, Mrs. Reese was a former member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Farrell.

Through the course of her career, she worked at several upscale women’s clothing stores in downtown Sharon. She closed out her career in 2001, working at Winner International as a sales administrator.

She then spent the majority of her time doting on her two beloved grandchildren, Max and Violet.

Mrs. Reese was an accomplished cook and baker and was well known for her cheesecakes and Greek cuisine. She was also known by all for her always finished and impeccably polished look.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She touched everyone who knew her. She had a huge heart and deeply cared about and loved everyone she knew.

Her husband, Clifford Reese, whom she married Jan. 25, 1967, passed away Jan. 31, 2003.

She leaves: her daughter, Kelly Beichner and her husband William; and a son, Clifford S. “Kip” Reese and his wife Renee, all McMurray; two sisters, Amy Calvert and her husband Jerry, Hermitage; and Georgia Moscovitis, Wilmington, Del.; two grandchildren, Max Beichner and Violet Reese; and two stepgrandchildren, Chelsea and Nicole Beichner.

She also leaves her close family friend and surrogate son, Ryan Fraley, Wheatland.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Reese was preceded in death by her parents.
