PARKER, Pa. —
Nancy J. Messer of Parker, passed away Monday evening (5-20-13) in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 85.
Born Feb. 23, 1928, in Harts Creek, W.Va., Mrs. Messer was a daughter of Hezz and Alice Williams Barett.
A Protestant by faith, for many years she attended the Church of God of Prophecy, and at the time of her passing, was a member of the Country Gospel Church of Callensburg, Pa.
Surviving are: five daughters, Pearly and her husband William Adams, Volant; and Juanita and her husband Richard Woods, and Debbie and her husband Bobby Smith, all Parker; Barbara Ralston, Phoenix; and Linda Nelson, Mesa, Ariz.; two sons, Hezz Messer and his wife Marcette, Greenville; and Clarence Messer and his wife Janet, Grove City; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bertha Curtis, Sharon Fratini and Pam Neuman; three brothers, Paul, Corbin and Jerry Bryant; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Messer, in 1994; her parents; a son, Tennis Messer, in 1992; and an infant son, Louis David Messer.

Service: Funeral services at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Adams, her grandson, and the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, her pastor, co-officiating.
Interment: Will follow at Sunset View Memorial Garden, Cranberry Township, Venango County.
