A funeral service will be held Thursday for Thomas Clinton Harmony of Sharon, formerly of Rowlett, Texas. He passed away at 4:45 a.m. Sunday, May 11, 2014, in his home after an extended illness. He was 71.
Mr. Harmony was born Oct. 25, 1942, in New Castle, a son of Clinton D. and Julianna Bestwick Harmony.
He was a 1960 graduate of Sharon High School and received his bachelor of science degree in business administration from Youngs-town State University in 1964.
Tom retired from NCR (National Cash Register), Rowlett, where he worked as a computer and software sales representative. He moved back to the area a year ago. He was previously employed by Wang Laboratories in Massachusetts.
Tom was a former member of First Presbyterian Church, Sharon. As a Free and Accepted Mason for nearly 50 years, he was a member of Kedron Lodge 389, West Middlesex.
Tom was an avid golfer and enjoyed swimming and bowling.
Surviving are: his wife, the former Nancy J. Hutchison, whom he married June 13, 1964; a daughter, Kimberly L. Harmony, Rowlett; a son, Thomas Jason Harmony and his wife Angela, Frisco, Texas; four grandchildren, Braeden and Linda Hardy; and McKenna and Morgan Harmony; a sister, Margaret Jean Auchter, Cedar Hill, Texas; a sister-in-law, Shirley L. Riffle and her husband Tim, Sharon; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents.
