HOWLAND, Ohio – Genevieve Marie “Jean” Konchinsky Persin, Bazetta Township, Trumbull County, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 13, 2013, in Howland. She was 92.

Jean was a member of the Warren Women’s Christian Association and a devoted member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, where she belonged to the Nelle Smith Women’s Guild and served as a deacon. In addition, Jean attended Tri Sigma and Second Mile Sunday school classes and Prime Time there. In her day, Jean served as a den mother for her son’s Cub Scout group and volunteered in many of the church’s vacation Bible school activities.
Jean celebrated being married to Rudolph Persin for 70 years in 2010. Together they had three children. Rudy and Jean tried their best to instill character, values and integrity in their children and led by example.
Jean is remembered by friends and family as a friendly, cheerful and gentle spirit. Throughout her life, Jean enjoyed her home, crafts, sewing, embroidery, crocheting, bowling, dancing, gardening and traveling all over the United States with her husband, Rudy.
