Julia A. Kupensky of Masury entered eternal sleep at 2:05 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014, while a patient at Hospice House, Poland, Ohio, following a brief illness. She was 88.
She was born in Farrell on Jan. 21, 1926, a daughter to Stanislaw & Anna (Hylek) Korab.
Shortly after graduating from Farrell High School in 1943, she married her love, Samuel A. Kupensky, on April 19, 1950. Together they started a family, and Julia was very proud to be a homemaker for her family.
She was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Farrell, where she was active with the Altar and Rosary Society. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, especially ethnic dishes, with cabbage as a mainstay.
Survivors include: her children, Kyle M. Kupensky and his wife Diane, Masury; Kevin J. Kupensky and his wife Paula, Bradenton, Fla.; Samia A. Kupensky, Masury; and Kirk L. Kupensky, Youngstown; her grandsons, Nicholas and Corey Kupensky; and her special niece, Linda Gill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, who passed Nov. 18, 1979; her daughter, Sonali M. Kupensky; her brother, John Korp; and her sisters, Jennie Spanos and Susan Gill.

Service: A private Mass of Christian burial will be held at her church.
Burial: She will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery, Farrell, next to her Samuel and Sonali.
