Suzanne Boor

---- — Suzanne Boor of 2250 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage, formerly of Masury, passed away peacefully at 3:10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, in John XXIII Home, Hermitage, after a brief illness. She was 99.

Mrs. Boor was born Aug. 29, 1914, in Sharon, a daughter of John and Mary Bacik Petro.

She was a 1932 graduate of Sharon High School.

Mrs. Boor was a lifelong member of Sts. Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sharon.

Suzanne enjoyed cooking, crocheting and spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her, especially by her loving children.

Suzanne was the widow of Stephen Boor, whom she married Sept. 1, 1935. He died Jan. 10, 2003.

She is survived by: her daughter, Ruth Jones and her husband David, Sharpsville; three sons, David A. Boor, Santa Fe, N.M.; Dr. Keith A. Boor and his wife Teresa, Springfield, Ohio; and Ret. Lt. Col. Wayne A. Boor and his wife Margaret, Fayetteville, N.C.; along with her grandchildren, Barbara and Michelle Jones, Jennifer Holestin, Micah Boor and David Keith Boor; and six great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are a sister, Mildred Balash, Ocala, Fla.; and a brother, Michael Petro, Youngstown.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Arthur; and three brothers, John, Paul and Andrew Petro.

Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday (9-19-13) in the funeral home with the Rev. Jeffrey M. Harter, pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sharon, officiating.

Interment: Brookfield Township Cemetery.
