Clyde V. Fragapane II

2007 GHS grad, top runner finished biology internship


- — Clyde V. Fragapane II of 99 Leech Road, Hempfield Township, passed away as a result of an automobile accident on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013. He was 24.

Mr. Fragapane was born March 30, 1989, in Sharon to Clyde V. Fragapane and Christina “Chrissy” Yakela Massena.

He was a 2007 graduate of Greenville High School where he played football and was a member of the state finalist 400-meter relay team. He then graduated in 2011 from Thiel College, Greenville, with a degree in environmental biology. Clyde recently returned from a five-month internship at a salmon hatchery in Cordova, Alaska.

He was an avid pool player and belonged to TAP and APA leagues. Clyde also enjoyed bowling and all aspects of the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and fly fishing.

He was a great gardener and cook and loved cooking for family and friends. He loved watching sports, especially football and baseball, and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates make the playoffs this year.

Clyde liked playing the X-Box and hanging out with his friends at Padrone’s, Greenville.

He was a loving father and loved spending time with his younger brother.

Clyde is survived by: a daughter, Reese Marley Fragapane, Jamestown; his father, Clyde V. Fragapane and his wife Laura, Canonsburg, Pa.; his mother, Christina “Chrissy” Massena and her husband Brian “Beezer”; and a brother, Christopher Fragapane, all Greenville; two stepbrothers, Anderson Jones and Brinton Jones, both Canonsburg; and grandparents, Frances Haylett, Greenville; Rosalie Fragapane, Canonsburg; Lynn Frampton, Greenville; and Lloyd Carpenter, West Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Raymond Haylett and Samuel Fragapane.

Service: Funeral and committal service at 11 a.m. Thursday (10-17-13) in the funeral home with the Rev. Kent Bell of Bethel Life Worship Services, Greenville, officiating.

Burial: Cremation will follow the service.
