Transfer man drove truck for GATX, liked to hunt, fish

---- — Paul E. Rickert of Transfer passed away at 10:38 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, in UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh. He was 70.

Mr. Rickert was born June 18, 1943, in Knoxville, Tenn., to Harold E. and Anis E. Ewing Rickert.

Paul worked as a truck driver for General American Transportation Corp.’s former Masury plant.

He enjoyed the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing.

Paul is survived by his son, Bryan Rickert, Wadsworth, Ohio; a brother, Arthur Rickert and his wife Shirley, Transfer; and a granddaughter, Evelynn Rickert.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold E. Rickert; mother, Anis E. Rickert; and daughter, Vickie Rickert.
