OREGON, Ohio – Janice L. DelFratte Humes of Northwood, Ohio, passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, in Mercy-St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was 53.
Mrs. Humes was born Jan. 1, 1960, in Sharon to Guy and Mary Ann Caniff DelFratte.
A 1978 graduate of Sharpsville High School, she received her associate’s degree in business from Owens Community College, Ohio.
For many years, she worked in various capacities for Louisville Title Co. She then worked for five years as an office manager for ReMax Executives, Perrysburg, Ohio.
Janice enjoyed attending Mud Hens games and, in her spare time, enjoyed making crafts and decorating. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Janice is survived by her loving husband, Danny B. Humes; her daughters, Heidi Humes; and Adrienne and her husband Jason Pogrmich; her grandchildren, Benjamin and Abigaile; her mother, Mary Ann; her sister, Sylvia and her husband Sam Rakyta; her brother, Tom DelFratte and his wife Kim; her sister-in-law, Angel DelFratte; and her nieces and nephews, whom she deeply cherished.
She was preceded in death by her father, Guy; and a brother, Jerrold.
Family and friends held visitation followed by a funeral service and private burial on Monday, Nov. 11, in Oregon. A local memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, in St. Bartholomew’s Church, 311 W. Ridge Ave., Sharpsville, with the Rev. Matthew J. Strickenberger, pastor, as celebrant.
