Josephine A. Secich of Hubbard died Thursday morning, June 5, 2014, in O’Brien Memorial Nursing Home, Masury, after a long illness. She was 89.
Mrs. Secich was born Feb. 18, 1925, in Youngs-town, a daughter of Joseph and Bridget Przelomski Strawinski. She lived in Hubbard since 1956.
A homemaker, Mrs. Secich had worked for the Woolworth Co.
As a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Hubbard, Mrs. Secich belonged to its Altar and Rosary Society and was the cake booth chairman at St. Pat’s Festival for 33 years.
She enjoyed crafts, gardening and sports.
Josephine leaves: her husband, Thomas Secich, whom she married June 9, 1956; a son, Thomas Secich, Concord, Ohio; and a daughter, Bridget and her husband Alex Forte; and a grandson, Michael Forte, all Hubbard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Henry, Benjamin, Edward and Chester Strawinski; and a sister, Stella Strawinski.
