Hermitage
• Mark Wheaton, 45, of 3011 Saranac Drive, South Pymatuning Township, was southbound on a motorcycle at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday on North Water Avenue in Hermitage when he crashed at a curve in the road, police said.
Wheaton was treated in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Health System and cited for not having a motorcycle endorsement on his driver’s license, police said.
State police
• Someone stole a hay rake valued at $4,989 from Elder’s Sales and Service, 4466 Greenville-Sandy Lake Road, Sandy Lake Township, between May 3 and Saturday.
• Someone stole a large wooden swing set last Monday or Tuesday from a backyard at 105 Main St. in Fredonia, police said.
• Someone stole 150 gallons of off-road diesel fuel valued at $3.29 per gallon April 30 or May 1 from an outside storage tank on Anderson Road in Sandy Lake Township, police said.
• Someone stole an electric motor, 500 feet of wire, an old tractor radiator and sundry copper scraps and tools with a combined value of $900 between Wednesday and Friday from a West Jamestown Road, Greene Township, property, police said.
• Edwin and Pamela Coast of Volant were cited for scattering rubbish at about 1 p.m. Thursday, after police said they found bills and other items that identified the couple in trash that was scattered off Allen Road in Wilmington Township, Lawrence County.
• Gerald B. Jaap II, 38, of Boliver, Ohio, was cited for disorderly conduct at 9:56 a.m. Friday at Volant Post Office. Jaap was cited after he used obscene language at the post office, police said.
• Someone stole 20 shrubs and 45 potted plants valued at $188.75 before 2:30 p.m. Friday from New Wilmington Produce Auction, state Route 208, Wilmington Township, Lawrence County, police said.
