Hermitage

• Police said they have identified the woman shown in a photograph they distributed as part of a purse-snatching investigation.

Several people reported that the woman was Tarrah L. Parcetich, 18, of 719 Cedar Ave., Sharon, police said.

Ms. Parcetich confessed to stealing a purse from a shopping cart at 11:30 p.m. June 15 at Giant Eagle, 2385 E. State St., police said. She was charged with theft.

The Herald Saturday published the photograph, which came from a store security camera.

• A Sharon man was injured when his motorcycle was hit by a car at 4:52 p.m. Tuesday on Highland Road near Romar Drive, police said.

Sylvester Enos, 55, of 1138 Puritan Drive, was listed in satisfactory condition Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Enos was eastbound following the car driven by Stephen Porter, 38, of 2662 Romar Drive, Hermitage, when Porter started turning left onto Romar, police said. He saw a sign that the driveway and parking lot was going to be closed in the morning, decided not to complete the turn and steered back onto Highland, hitting the motorcycle, police said.
