Hermitage
• Brie A. Hilton, 25, of 129 Fairmont Drive, Hermitage, has been charged with possessing a prohibited offensive weapon, possession of marijuana and retail theft for having a knife and pot when she was detained for stealing two pairs of shoes at 3:30 p.m. June 23 at Walmart, 1275 N. Hermitage Road, police said.
Store employees saw Ms. Hilton take the tags off the shoes and walk out the back of the store after getting a pedicure, police said. They also saw her put the knife with a 7 1/2-inch blade on the dashboard of a car after stopping her in the parking lot, and stuff the bag of pot into her purse, police said.
• Richard L. Byerly III, 23, of 170 Buhl Blvd., Sharon, has been charged with theft and forgery for cashing 34 of a family member’s checks for $4,826 Nov. 14 through June 13 at Walmart, 1275 N. Hermitage Road, the First National Bank branch in Walmart, and D’Onofrio Food Center, 1749 N. Hermitage Road, police said.

• About $60 was stolen from a cash register between Sunday afternoon and 7 a.m. Monday from a business in the 100 block of North Sharpsville Avenue, police said. A large rock or brick had broken the front window, police said.
• A garage was damaged when someone forced open a door and tried to open a locked overhead door sometime Sunday or Monday in the 400 block of B Street, police said.
• The basement of a vacant rental house was flooded after thieves made off with 20 feet of copper water line between June 16 and Friday in the 300 block of Orchard Street, police said. A back door was kicked in and two to three feet of water had accumulated, police said.

• Stereo equipment was stolen from the trunk of a car between Sunday evening and 10 a.m. Monday in the 400 block of South Oakland Avenue, police said. It has not been determined how the trunk was entered, police said.
• The driver’s side window of a car was shot with a BB gun between June 20 and Sunday in the 400 block of New Castle Avenue, police said.

SW Mercer County Regional

• Someone stole clothing and electronics sometime before 1:26 a.m. Saturday from a home in the 1100 block of Hamilton Avenue, Farrell, police said.

• Glenn Barrow, 39, of 1126 Washington St., Farrell, was charged at about 4:20 p.m. Monday with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct after hitting his wife and other family members at his home, police said.
State police
• Someone broke into a Stoneboro residence and stole money between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Monday, police said.
• Someone broke into an apartment and stole several items between 5 p.m. June 22 and 2 p.m. Monday along Lake Wilhelm Road, Clarks Mills, police said.
• Someone smashed the rear window of a Jeep between 9 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday at a home along Mill Road, Perry Township, police said.

• Caldwell Wright, 65, of 817 Lee Ave., Farrell; at 10:20 p.m. Friday on a warrant from Southwest Mercer County Regional police.
Sharpsville
• Zachary E. Hancox, 22, Sharon; Sunday on a bench warrant for theft from a motor vehicle, loitering and prowling at night and conspiracy.
SW Mercer County Regional
• Anthony J. Antonas, 26, 17 S. Twelfth St., Sharpsville; at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of DeBrakeleer Avenue on a warrant from Sharon police for failing to respond.
