The westbound car went off the right side of the road for no apparent reason in front of the Colonial Square office complex. It sheared an ornamental fruit tree and dragged part of it about 100 feet before crashing into a pine tree. Three people were injured: driver Diane Daffin, 52, of 203 Oakview Drive, Hermitage, and two passengers, Helen Moss, 71, of 110 W. Liberty St., Jamestown, and Miss Daffin's mother, Jean Daffin, 72, also of 203 Oakview. John Zavinski/Herald
