• Joshua E. Meehan, 308 North St., Jamestown, was arrested at 1:40 a.m. Saturday for trying to steal money from a coin machine at West Side Laundry, 6 S. High St., Greenville, police said.

• Joshua E. Meehan, 308 North St., Jamestown, was arrested at 1:40 a.m. Saturday for trying to steal money from a coin machine at West Side Laundry, 6 S. High St., Greenville, police said.
Meehan tried to pry open the machine with a tool but set off the alarm, police said. A damage estimate hasn’t been determined.
Hermitage
• Exzabria H. Harrison, 30, of 230 Mesabi St., Sharon, has been charged with forgery, theft, access device fraud and nine counts of identity theft for using stolen Huntington Bank checks to buy about $400 in goods at five Hermitage businesses, and trying to use two stolen credit cards to buy items at three city businesses, police said.
Sharon police picked her up on warrants at 9:23 p.m. Sunday at her home, they said.
The checks and credit cards were reported June 26 to have been stolen from a women’s purse in a car parked in the 100 block of Chestnut Street, Sharon, police said.
• A Cub Cadet push mower was stolen sometime Saturday night or Sunday morning from Tractor Supply Co., 2998 E. State St., police said.

• Firefighters put out a fire Saturday night at 150 Sharpsville Ave. that started outside the home, firefighters said. The cause had not yet been determined Monday afternoon.
Firefighters were called at 10:48 p.m. and the fire was under control in 10 minutes, the said.
Trash on the ground was burning and fire spread to the building, breaking out two windows, firefighters said; There was smoke damage to the inside of the home.
