• Electric wire was cut from machinery and stolen Monday night or Tuesday morning from a business in the 300 block of Ohio Street, police said.
State police
• A purse containing a cellular telephone, identification cards and other items was stolen at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday from an unlocked vehicle parked on Route 208, Springfield Township, police said.
• Several electric cords were cut and stolen from power boxes sometime Aug. 20 or 21 from Camp Wilhelm Campground, New Vernon Township, police said.
• A Sandy Lake-area boy was hurt in a pickup-sport-utility vehicle crash at 5:50 p.m. Monday on Route 62, Sandy Lake Township, police said.
Police said Michael Moon, 11, was taken to UPMC Horizon, Greenville, with a minor injury. A hospital spokeswoman said Wednesday she had no information on the boy.
A pickup driven by Donald B. Barbour, 52, of Stoneboro, pulled out from School Street and did not see the SUV driven by Denise M. Rhoades, 29, of Sandy Lake, which was stopped waiting to turn into a parking lot, police said. The truck hit the SUV from behind, police said.
Michael was a passenger in the SUV, police said.
