Police, Fire from Nov. 19, 2013

- — Greenville-West Salem Township

• Timothy R. Graffius Jr., 24, of 46 Chambers Ave., Greenville, was charged with aggravated and simple assault an endangering the welfare of a child for holding a 2-year-old boy by the ankles and spanking him, and throwing him against a wall onto his head Friday at home, police said. Charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were filed for a container of pot found in a bedroom, police said.

Mercer

• Jamie Guthrie, 43, of 405 Sheriff St., Mercer, was charged with simple assault and harassment for shoving three girls, grabbing one of them by the neck and punching another at about 8:30 a.m. Nov. 9 at home, police said.

Sharon

• A friendship gone sour led a Hermitage woman to threaten her former friend, who lives at 599 McClure Ave., police said.

Mellani Hope Mild, 28, of 1509 Skyline Drive, had been at the residence shouting threats earlier Friday before her arrest at about 11:55 a.m., police said.

Mild also left phone messages threatening to shoot up Starr’s house because their friendship had broken up a couple of weeks ago, police said.

Mild, who was charged with harassment and terroristic threats, posted bond.

• Jasmin Pleasant, 21, of 335 Sterling Ave., Sharon, was charged with stalking, reckless endangerment, simple assault and disorderly conduct for pulling a woman from her car by the hair, throwing her to the street and kicking her in the face at 5:11 p.m. Thursday at West State Street and Irvine Avenue, police said. A passerby stopped the car, which kept rolling after the victim was pulled from it, police said. Holly L. May, 30, of 941 N. Water Ave., was charged with the same offenses for driving Pleasant to the scene and standing by, police said.
