Police, Fire for Sept. 3, 2013

• A 59-year-old Mercer woman is one of the victims of a burglary between Aug. 18 and 30 at a trailer in the Shenango Lake allotment in South Shenango Township, Crawford County, police said.

Fishing equipment and boots were stolen from the trailer, police said.

• Five people suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash at 6:10 p.m. Friday in Springfield Township, police said.

A 17-year-old female was driving a Jeep Compass west on Leesburg Station Road when she either failed to stop or failed to yield to a car driven by Maria L. Graham, 45, of Avella, Pa., that was traveling north on Perry Highway, police said.

The Jeep hit the car, then went off the road and hit a utility pole guide wire, police said. A car driven by Samuel G. Zingaro, 80, that was traveling south on Perry Highway also hit Graham’s car as it was spinning after impact with the Jeep, police said.

The driver of the Jeep and four passengers in the vehicles suffered minor injuries, police said.

The teenager, whose name was withheld by police, was cited for a stop sign violation.
