Police, Fire from April 11, 2013

---- — Greenville-West Salem Township

• A 2007 silver Pontiac sedan with Pennsylvania license plate GWT8572 was reported stolen at 7:48 a.m. Tuesday from Chambers Avenue in Greenville, police said.

Anyone with information on the car is asked to call the police department.

Grove City

• Nathan S. Kingsley, 31, of Volant was charged with simple assault and harassment for injuring a 36-year-old man during an altercation March 2 at the Blue Ribbon Tavern, 131 S. Broad St., police said.

• Carl D. Jackson, 33, of Boyers was arrested April 4 on charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, a lane violation and driving an unregistered vehicle, police said.

• Three military-style grave markers have been turned in at the police station. The markers can be claimed there.


• Amanda L. Garrett Torr, 36, of 380 Cohasset Drive, Hermitage, was charged with forgery, acquisition of Vicodin by misrepresentation, possession of Vicodin without a prescription, identity theft and procurement of drugs by fraud for using another woman’s personal information to refill a 60-pill prescription of the pain killer and pick it up at 3:11 p.m. March 20 at the Medicine Shoppe, 1899 E. State St., police said.

• Matthew R. Wilkerson, 19, of 18 Ridgeway Ave., Greenville, was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment for punching a man in the head, tackling him and hitting him a few more times at 12:51 a.m. April 2 in the parking lot of Big Kmart, 2235 E. State St., police said.

The victim, a Kmart employee, said Wilkerson followed him outside when the victim was taking a break and said he wanted to fight, police said.

The victim, who said he refused to fight, was treated at a local hospital and his eyeglasses were damaged, police said.

Southwest Mercer County Regional

• Clayton C. Dershaw, 33, of 1314 Stevenson Road, Masury, was charged with possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia for having a folded piece of paper containing the drug under his steering column when he was stopped for a traffic violation at 12:52 a.m. Feb. 28 at French Street and Hamilton Avenue, Farrell, police said.

State police

• A Hermitage woman’s car was found burning at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday just off High Hill Road, east of Evergreen Road, Pulaski, police said.

The car was destroyed, said police, who believe the blaze was intentionally set. Pulaski volunteer firefighters responded.


Southwest Mercer County Regional

• Brittany M. Townsend 24, of 3843 Quaker Circle, Hermitage; at 3:50 a.m. March 9 at the Shenango Valley Regional Lockup, Farrell, where she drove to see her boyfriend, who had been arrested by Hermitage police for drunken driving.


Mercer County sheriff

• Daniel Cook, 40, of 128 Water St., Greenville; Tuesday on a bench warrant for absconding probation.
