Police, Fire from May 16, 2014

- — Brookfield

• Police cited six people for underage drinking Friday during Truck Night at Yankee Lake.

Cited were:

Alexa M. Sees, 19, of 1321 Stevenson Road, Masury; Dannie A. Byler, 18, Volant; Treton G. Ball, 19, North Lima, Ohio; and Kalla M. Daff Gardner, 19, of Hubbard.

Gardner, who had earlier this year been cited on the Yankee Lake grounds for underage drinking, was also charged with criminal mischief, police said.

Grove City

• A man used a fake $100 bill to pay for goods at a downtown business Wednesday, police said.


• A bronze plaque that listed military service information of the deceased, was discovered stolen from a tombstone in St. Michael’s Cemetery, 2296 Longview Road. The family member of the deceased who made the report told police that there have been similar thefts in the cemetery, police said.

Southwest Mercer County Regional

• Someone shattered a window of a vehicle parked in a business’s parking lot Tuesday in the 3400 block of Sharon Road in West Middlesex. A rock was found nearby, police said.


Grove City

• Jaquais Davis, 20, of 725 Baldwin Ave., Sharon; nonpayment of fines, and released.

Pymatuning Township

• Shawn Alan Rainey, 37, Tuesday at 3752 North Hermitage Road; for terroristic threats, stalking and simple assault.


• LaVaughn Crumby, 24, Wednesday in the 600 block of Wallis Avenue, Sharon; for failure to respond.

Southwest Mercer County Regional

• Jamal Norman, 18, Tuesday at 1115 Bond St., Farrell; for failure to respond and harassment; released to Sharon police.
