- — Grove City

• Malachi Graham, 18, of 619 Riverside Drive, faces charges after his arrest for burglary, theft and criminal mischief.

He broke into an apartment in the 200 block of Broad Street, stole items valued at $325 and caused $410 in damage, police said.


• A Detroit man was taken to jail after police said he was selling suspected marijuana at about 7 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of George Street.

Police said they stopped Deandre Darnelle Rivers, 23, because the brake lights on his car weren’t working. A patrolman saw a baggie of pot and a search turned up a total of 13 baggies, police said.

Rivers was charged with possession and possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without brake lights and driving without insurance. He failed to post bond and was taken to Mercer County Jail, police said.

• Byron Hawkins faces charges because he threatened to kill a 46-year-old Sharon woman after an argument at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday on South Oakland Avenue near Morrison Street, police said.

Hawkins, 27, of 1068 Baldwin St., was charged with terroristic threats and harassment, police said.

• A tenant told police she woke up at about 1 a.m. Sunday and found the television she had been watching was no longer in her apartment at Connelly Manor, 55 W. Connelly Blvd.

The victim said she wasn’t sure if she had locked the door. She valued the Vizio 42-inch flat screen TV at $460, police said.

There were no signs of forced entry and nothing else appeared to be missing, police said.

• A Hermitage woman is charged with beating up her girlfriend in an incident at about 1 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of South Oakland Avenue, police said.

Jessica Bucher, 26, of 130 Superior St., punched the victim, 34, several times in the face, causing her eye to swell shut and inflicting other injuries, police said.

The victim was taken by ambulance for treatment at the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. Bucher was charged with simple assault under the Domestic Violence Act, police said.


• Tara Marie Hancox, 26, of 2856 Hunter St., Sharpsville, was charged with false identification to an officer, driving under a suspended license, and other traffic related charges at 8:58 a.m. April 28 when she gave police a false name after she backed into another vehicle in the parking lot of 30 N. Walnut St., police said.

• A 12-year-old boy was charged with indecent assault, terroristic threats, stalking, reckless endangerment, harassment and disorderly conduct on April 17 after he told a girl while in a Sharpsville school that he has stalked her and threatened to rape her, police said.

• Dustin M. Simkins, 21, of 2748 Tamarack Drive, South Pymatuning Township, was charged at 11:51 p.m. April 22 with assault, resisting arrest, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness after he pounded on the door at a home in the 100 block of South Mercer Avenue until his fists bled, forced his way inside and assaulted a female, police said.



• Ebony Davis, 31, of Cleveland; at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of Mesabi Street; on warrants from Southwest Mercer County Regional police and Mercer County district attorney.

• Brandon Michael King, 23, of 141 W. Pierce Ave., Sharpsville; at 9:33 a.m. May 1. Also charged with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia, police said.
