Accused burglars face another charge

SHENANGO VALLEY — Two people charged with two burglaries in Hermitage have been charged with one in Shenango Township.

Daniel J. Boots, 39, and his wife, Heather R. Boots, 35, each have been charged with burglary, receiving stolen property and conspiracy to commit burglary for the March 6 break-in in the 400 block of Heasley Road, police said.

Daniel Boots admitted driving his wife and another man to the scene, police said The other man kicked in the door and he and Mrs. Boots entered and stole items including jewelry, cash, cameras and jeans, police said.

Heather Boots also admitted her involvement, and both said they stole most of the items for drug money, police said.

The couple was arrested in Portage County, Ohio, and police found items stolen from the Heasley Road residence in their car, police said.

The total value of stolen items is $8,900, plus another $1,800 damage to the house, police said.

They implicated the third man, but he has not been charged, police said.

The Bootses and Juston E. Buskirk, 34, of East Palestine, Ohio, have been charged for the Feb. 26 or 27 break-in in the 1600 block of Winner Road, and the Feb. 27 break-in in the 2300 block of Valley View Road, both in Hermitage.
