Police, Fire from June 20, 2014

- — Hermitage

• Vincent M. Cimoric, 51, of 87 Lilac Drive, Shenango Township, was charged with driving under the influence of Suboxone, driving under suspension, a turning violation and a broken headlight stemming from a 12:21 a.m. June 10 stop on South Hermitage Road, police said.

• Ryan R. Hannon-Smith, 19, who is homeless, has been charged with theft for stealing a pickup at 3:30 a.m. June 16 from a home in the 100 block of Lyle Drive, and receiving stolen property for having nine compact discs on him that were stolen that day from a vehicle parked in the sub-100 block of Todd Avenue, police said.

• Dionte D. Pope, 19, of 240 Orange Drive, Hermitage, has been charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and speeding for having a bag of pot in his car when he was pulled over at 10:45 p.m. June 7 at North Hermitage and Highland roads, police said.

• Levy G. Hill, 34, of 200 Orange Drive, Hermitage, has been charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia for having a bag of pot on him after police on foot patrol saw him acting suspiciously at 10:47 p.m. June 10 in the 1500 block of Parke Drive, they said.

• Hindhaneifah C. Hailstock, 18, of 1645 Hall Ave., Sharpsville, has been charged with theft and receiving stolen property for stealing a cell phone that was mistakenly laid on a store shelf and forgotten May 29 in Walmart, 1275 N. Hermitage Road, police said.

• Mandy S. Morgan, 29, McDonald, Ohio, has been charged with forgery, access device fraud, theft and conspiracy to commit theft for stealing checks and a credit card from a Lyle Drive resident and cashing the checks for $730 and using the credit card for $1,022 in goods between May 10 and 13, police said.

• Aaron A. Arnold, 31, of Butler, has been charged with harassment for sending threatening text messages to two women June 6 in Hermitage, police said.

• Melissa A. Lyons, 34, of 3711 Fran Lane, Hermitage, has been charged with harassment for leaving voicemail messages May 28 for her ex-boyfriend, Adam Gassner, 29, of 4817 Sample Road, Hermitage, with vulgar and derogatory comments about his new girlfriend, police said.

Gassner was charged with harassment for calling her June 1 and saying he would kill her, police said.

Sharon

• A city man faces charges after police said he broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home and threatened her.

Ken Robinson, 28, of 78 Flowers Ave., waited in a nearby parking lot for the 23-year-old victim to arrive home at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Buhl Boulevard, police said.

He confronted her in her driveway, threatening to harm her and kill her cat, and kicked down the door after she ran inside and locked the door, police said.

Police found Robinson in an upstairs bedroom where he had also broken through the door. He was treated at the hospital for minor injuries and the woman was not hurt, police said.

Robinson was charged with burglary, making terroristic threats, harassment and criminal mischief.

• Someone broke into a home in a burglary reported at midnight Wednesday in the 1000 block of Cedar Avenue.

The burglar stood on a lawn chair, cut the screen and climbed through the kitchen window while the resident was away, police said.

The victim told police the burglar ransacked her purse, took a debit card and stole a 32-inch Vizio television, two PlayStation game consoles, an Apple iPad and a package of frozen pops from the kitchen freezer.

A pit bull kept in a kennel in the kitchen wasn’t harmed, police said.

Southwest Mercer County Regional

• Garrett V. Passel, 25, of 1017 Sherman Ave., Sharon, has been charged with criminal trespassing, possession of Xanax without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia for having a bottle of 41 pills on him at 7:58 p.m. Tuesday on a porch of a boarded-up home in the 1100 block of Fruit Avenue, Farrell, police said. The home had no trespassing signs, police said.

• Dewayne L. Burns Jr., 18, of 1729 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, has been charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia for having 12 bag corners of pot in his trunk, weighing a total of about a half ounce, when the car he was driving was stopped for failing to signal at 9:33 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of Hamilton Avenue, Farrell, police said.

• Sometime June 14 or 15, the power was disrupted at Jones Performance, Jones Way, West Middlesex, and several trucks were damaged and items stolen from them, said police, who received the report Tuesday morning.

• Zachary L. Campbell, 46, of 1044 Emerson Ave., Farrell, has been charged with criminal trespassing for being in a vacant home without permission at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Fruit Avenue, Farrell, police said.

Hermitage

• Jill E. Porterfield, 42, of 3472 Sharon Road, West Middlesex; at 3:36 a.m. June 12 at South Hermitage and Wilson roads; also charged with a lane violation and broken side brake light.

Mercer County sheriff

• Darryl Cleveland, 48, of 1227 Negley St., Farrell; at 11:04 p.m. June 7 at Indiana Avenue and Idaho Street, Farrell; also charged with running a stop sign.
