• One driver was cited but no one was injured in a collision at about 1:20 p.m. Sunday, police said.
Walter R. Baseler, 84, of Patterson School Road, was driving east on Jackson Street and turned left onto Mill Street into the path of a pickup driven by Scott King, 39, of Princeton Street, police said.
Both vehicles had to be towed. Baseler was cited for a traffic violation, police said.
• A Sharpsville woman faces charges after being found inside a relative’s house without permission to be there.
Christine Zomparelli, 44, of 141 Pierce Ave., had kicked in a basement window at about 1:05 a.m. Monday at an unoccupied house in the 600 block of East Budd Street but couldn’t get in that way, police said.
Alert neighbors who called 911 told police she got in by forcing open a first-floor window. She was inside the house when she was taken into custody, police said.
Zomparelli was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and possession of instruments of crime for the knife she used to help pry open the window, police said.
She was taken to Mercer County Jail after failing to post bond.
• A homeowner returned after several days out of town to discover that his house in the 400 block of Reed Street had been ransacked.
The burglary reported at about 4 p.m. Friday netted thieves electronics and power tools the owner valued at $7,000 pending completion of an inventory, police said.
• Gerald Baker, 22, of 1038 French St., Sharon; at 5 p.m. Sunday after a traffic stop; on a Mercer County Court of Common Pleas bench warrant for failure to appear; taken to jail.
