Police, Fire from April 17, 2013

---- — Greenville-West Salem Township

• Metal tools and ladders were stolen from a home in the 100 block of South Maysville Road, West Salem Township, said police, who were notified at 2:20 p.m. April 10.

• A house in the sub-100 block of Hilltop Road, West Salem Township, was ransacked and several items stolen, said police, who were called at 11:35 p.m. Thursday. A window and the front door were smashed in, police said.

• Two ladders were stolen from a home on Maple Road, West Salem Township, said police, who received the report at 8:21 a.m. Friday.

• Tires were slashed of a vehicle on Franklin Street, Greenville, said police, who were called at 3:29 p.m. Friday.

• Police said they are seeking a gold vehicle that knocked the mirror off a vehicle driven by Jeannette Walker of Jamestown at 11:37 a.m. Friday in the 300 block of Williamson Road, West Salem Township, police said.

• About 300 feet of telephone wire were stolen in the area of Vernon and Maple roads, West Salem Township, said police, who received the report at 10:01 a.m. Saturday.

• A juvenile was charged with harassment for threatening a staff member at 9:40 a.m. Monday at Keystone Education Center, 425 S. Good Hope Road, West Salem Township, police said.

Hempfield Township

• A Sony Cybershot camera was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the sub-100 block of Williamson Road sometime within the week prior to the report, which was taken at 4 p.m. Friday, police said.

Hermitage

• Kaylan B. Taylor, 18, of 1973 Overlook Drive, Hermitage, has been charged with theft and unauthorized use of a vehicle for stealing a relative’s car at about 7 p.m. Jan. 20 from home, police said.

• Adam J. Moran, 22, of 819 Richmond Drive, Hermitage, has been charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia for having a pipe with marijuana in it and a cleaning kit on him when he was stopped for an expired inspection sticker at 8:49 a.m. Thursday at North Kerrwood Drive and Highland Road, police said.

DRUNKEN DRIVING ARREST

Greenville-West Salem Township

• Thomas T. Ammon, 29, of East Liverpool, Ohio; at 2:03 p.m. Sunday in a field along East Jamestown Road, West Salem Township; also charged with reckless driving and a lane violation.
