Police, Fire from April 25, 2013

• A 53-year-old man was hit by a vehicle at 11:14 p.m. Tuesday in front of 8085 Warren-Sharon Road, Brookfield, and was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, police said.

Police said Suzanne Stewart, 40, of 7975 Warren-Sharon Road, Brookfield, hit James McCane Jr. of Springdale, Md., with her 2002 Ford Explorer.

Police said McCane was combative at the scene and had to be sedated, but they did not know the extent of his injuries.

State police

• Police said they are investigating a report that two men, ages 60 and 22, sexually assaulted a girl, now 15, between Jan. 1, 2010, and Nov. 30 in Lackawannock Township.

• The tires of three cars parked in driveways were slashed between April 2 and 9 in Pine Grove Mobile Home Park, Coolspring Township, police said.

• Thrown eggs damaged a trailer April 13 or 14 on North Liberty Road, Liberty Township, police said.

• Ronald Kommer, 77, of Hadley, suffered a major injury when his minivan hit a utility pole and rolled onto its side at 10:01 p.m. Monday on Hadley Road, west of Long Hill Road, Otter Creek Township, police said.

Kommer was flown to a regional hospital, police said. The hospital did not return calls seeking Kommer’s condition.
