- — Greenville-West Salem Township

• Coty A. Vlassich, 27, of 5 S. High St., Apartment 202, was charged with theft at 6:32 p.m. Thursday after taking a cord of firewood worth more than $200 from a home on Jefferson Street, police said.

• Charles Howard Brady, 42, of 121 Clarksville St., Apartment 1, Greenville, was charged at 9:52 p.m. April 4 with simple assault, giving a false identification to a law enforcement officer, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, and public drunkenness, after he slapped a Greenville woman across the face and chest at South Second and Homer streets, Greenville, police said.

Brady also had two warrants for his arrest out of the district attorney’s office, police said.

• Nicholas A. Alderman, 36, of 224 Clinton St., Apartment 201, was cited at 5:35 p.m. Wednesday because fire and ambulance service have responded to this address 28 times since Jan. 3 for unwarranted calls, police said.

• Cynthia Louise Darr, 24, and Ricky Lee Thompson, no address given for either, were arrested at 4:55 p.m. April 9  after they hid a laptop, jewelry and electronic items worth $1,665 in a bathroom, police said. It was reported that they were huffing 3M dust remover and passing out, police said.

Darr was charged with attempted theft and conspiracy, and inhale toxic-releasing substance. Thompson was charged with theft, conspiracy and paraphernalia after he was found with two burnt spoons with residue and a hypodermic needle used for injecting and converting, police said.



• John K. Whalen, 52, of 24 Mallard Way, Mercer; at 9:55 p.m. March 30 at North Neshannock Road and Wild Dove Lane, Clark.

Greenville-West Salem Township

• Michele E. Berwick, 50, of 4 Lane Ave., Greenville; at 7:40 p.m. April 6 at South Front and Second streets, Greenville. Also charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, after she tried to kick a patrolman in the groin and told police she would shoot them if she had a gun, police said.

• David John Homer, 49, of 305 Orangeville Road, Greenville; at 9:01 p.m. April 4 in the area of South Mercer and Clinton streets, Greenville, police said. Also charged with accident involving damage, failure to give information and render aid, after his car hit another car at the intersection and he left the scene, police said.

• John A. Clutter, 28, of Coraopolis, Pa.; in the area of Shenango and North Race streets, Greenville, when he was seen driving on the left side of the road, police said. Also charged with highest rate of blood alcohol content and careless driving, police said.

Pymatuning Township

• Kevin Bateman, 63, of 42 Broad St., Transfer; at 12:45 a.m. April 11 after he turned into a driveway at a home in the 1100 block of Rutledge Road, Pymatuning Township, and backed straight into a ditch, then got out of the car and fell into the same ditch, police said.
