- — Grove City

•Antonio D. Simpson, 29, of Hermitage, was charged with theft for accepting $2,500 in February to do a roof job in the 200 block of North Broad Street and failing to complete the work, police said.

•About $620 was stolen in a home burglary that occurred at about 11 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of State Street, police said.

•A red vehicle hit a new light pole Monday night or Tuesday morning at the Liberty Crossing development, police said.

•Someone tried to break into a home by a rear door Monday or Tuesday in the 500 block of North Center Street, police said.

Southwest Mercer County Regional

•A 15-foot ladder and two all-terrain vehicle ramps were stolen from a home on North Street in West Middlesex, said police, who were notified at 1:46 p.m. Sunday.

•Someone used a sharp object to scratch all around a parked vehicle sApril 30 or May 1 in the 600 block of Beechwood Avenue, Farrell, police said.

State police

•A battery and stereo system were stolen between October and May from a stored car on East Jamestown Road, Greene Township, police said.

WARRANT ARRESTS

Southwest Mercer County Regional

•Danielle M. Edwards, 31, of 411 Roemer Blvd., Farrell; at 12:04 p.m. Sunday at home on a Sharon police warrant for theft.

•Antonio D. Gibson, 31, of 514 Emerson Ave., Farrell; at 2:50 a.m. Tuesday in front of his house on a warrant for failing to respond. Police filed a charge of possession of a controlled substance after finding a narcotic on him.
