- — Hempfield Township

•An Adamsville man faces drug charges after police responded to a call of two men sitting near Williamson and Leech roads at about 3 a.m. July 4.

Shawn Main, 21, and a man from Meadville were intoxicated, police said.

Main also had drug paraphernalia and marijuana and was charged with controlled substances, drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness. The Meadville man was cited for public intoxication.

•Police said a laptop computer, jewelry, money, medication and guns, valued together at $5,500, were taken during a burglary discovered June 11 at a residence on Leech Road, Sugar Grove Township.

Hermitage

•James F. Gill, 48, of 3 N. Second St., Greenville, has been charged with reckless endangerment for following a pickup that reportedly rear-ended his car from the 1200 block of North Hermitage Road to Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Farrell, despite 911 dispatchers telling him several times to break off the pursuit, police said.

•Megan Slater, 29, of Oil City, has been charged with theft and summary retail theft for returning stolen batting gloves for a $42 refund June 28 at Walmart, 1275 N. Hermitage Road, police said. The man who had stolen the gloves used the gift card to buy a cell phone, police said. Slater also stole hair dye and razor blades, police said.

•Scott T. Rittman, 228, of 2635 Romar Blvd., Hermitage, has been charged with simple assault and harassment for punching a woman in the face at 2:21 p.m. July 4 at home, police said.

•Shana M. Meeks, 25, of 694 Charlotte Ave., Hermitage, has been charged with simple assault for punching and slapping Joseph Puhac Jr., 23, of the same address, at 1:30 a.m. July 5 at home. Puhac previously was charged with simple assault for hitting her in the face during the same fight, police said.

Mercer County Drug Task Force

•Shawn D. Roberts, 47, of 1909 Haywood St., Farrell, has been charged with possession of crack cocaine and possession with intent to deliver for having a quarter-ounce of crack in a bedroom closet when he was arrested at 6:45 p.m. at home on a warrant.

Southwest Mercer County Regional

•Gail T. Hopson, 21, of 332 Sterling Ave., Sharon, has been charged with aggravated and simple assault and disorderly conduct for driving her sport-utility vehicle into Riquanda Brodie after the two fought at 7 p.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of Farrell Terrace, Farrell, police said.

Brodie, who was thrown onto several bikes, was taken to a hospital, police said. A barbecue grill was damaged during the fight, police said.

State police

•Sheila M. Mickens, 49, of 712 Park Ave., Farrell, turned herself in Friday afternoon at the office of District Judge Ronald E. Antos, Farrell, on charges of false statements and unsworn falsification for making a false statement on forms for a background check in advance of making a firearm purchase March 17 at Elite Firearms, 1400 N. Hermitage Road, Hermitage, police said.

DRUNKEN DRIVING ARRESTS

Hermitage

•Brian G. Myers, 57, of 188 Hopper Road, Delaware Township; at 4 p.m. July 5 at North Hermitage and McConnell roads; also charged with driving under suspension and a lane violation.

•Brian S. Scriven, 36, of 118 Leech Road, Sugar Grove Township; at 2:30 a.m. July 5 in the 2500 block of South Hermitage Road; also charged with failing to move to the left lane when no other traffic was on the road for police conducting a traffic stop.

Southwest Mercer County Regional

•Ayodele M. Johnson, 32, of 762 Cedar Ave., Sharon; at 2:50 a.m. June 10 in the 700 block of Idaho Street, Farrell; also charged with driving under suspension and running a stop sign.

WARRANT ARREST

Brookfield

•Matthew Lambert, 24, of 502 Lucy St., Masury; at 7 p.m. Thursday at home on a warrant from the Trumbull County sheriff for violating probation.
