- — Grove City

• Trenton Stearns, 18, of 2184 Scrubgrass Road, Wolf Creek Township, has been charged with burglary, criminal trespass and theft for stealing $620 May 6 at a home in the 300 block of State Street, police said.


• Aaron D. Tomko, 21, of 3946 Lamor Road, Hermitage, has been charged with furnishing alcohol to minors for having a party at which at least three people under 21 attended at 1:34 a.m. May 25 at home, police said. Cited for underage drinking were Alexis T. Greene, 19, Joshua E. Mosley, 20, and Alexander D. Kirsch, 20, all of Hermitage.

• Justin S. Malloy, 32, of 969 Hall Ave., Sharon, has been charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia for items found by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission at 11:45 p.m. May 23 at the Mahaney Recreation Area, 2540 Kelly Road, police said.

• Kyron S. Dimoff, 22, of 2550 Longview Road, Hermitage, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of drugs  and driving at an unsafe speed stemming from a crash at 3:47 p.m. May 22 at North Hermitage and Highland roads, police said.

• Nicole A. Myers, 30, of 2030 Madison St., Hermitage, has been charged with simple assault, criminal mischief and harassment for scratching and biting a man, and smashing his pickup’s window with a metal bucket at 9:26 a.m. May 28 at home, police said.

Southwest Mercer County Regional

• Police and firefighters evacuated and searched the Primary Health Network Building at 2:49 p.m. May 23 at 350 Sharon New Castle Road, Farrell, after a note reading “There is a bomb in this building” was found, police said. No bomb was found, police said.

• James B. White, 20, of Sharon, was arrested at 7:29 p.m. May 23 in the 900 block of Hamilton Avenue, Farrell, after running from police investigating a call of two people arguing in the 700 block of Idaho Street, Farrell, police said. White was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

• Maurice Perkins Jr., 22, of New Castle, has been charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence for having the drug on him when he was a passenger in a vehicle stopped at 4:10 a.m. May 25 on the 1900 block of Memorial Drive, Farrell, police said.

• Bonnie B. Balakoff, 53, of 4788 Pine Cone Drive, Hermitage, has been charged with defiant trespass and public drunkenness for failing to leave a business at 4:21 p.m. May 25 on Winner Road, Shenango Township, police said.

• Edward Ivey, 53, of 1113 Wallis Ave., Farrell, was arrested at 10:04 p.m. May 25 in the 300 block of Idaho Street, Farrell, on charges of possession of marijuana, public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after he refused to leave a business, police said. Ivey tried to kick out a window of a cruiser, police said.

• Chauntise L. Ousley, 35, of 919 Hamilton Ave., Farrell, has been charged with simple assault for biting a man in the right bicep, clawing his face and burning his left leg with a cigarette at 5:15 a.m. Friday at home, police said.

• Michael A. Wells, 50, of Youngstown, and Clyde H. Phillips, 52, of 810 Spruce Ave., Sharon, each have been charged with receiving stolen property for trying to sell a stolen television at 6:32 p.m. May 28 in the 1300 block of Sharon New Castle Road, Farrell, police said. The TV was reported stolen May 26 from the 1200 block of Dakota Street, Farrell, police said.

• Valentino L. Mickens, 29, of 712 Park Ave., Farrell, has been charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct for punching a woman in the face, pushing her and pulling her hair at 12:45 p.m. May 27 at home, police said.

• Brad A. Ruozzo, 30, of Campbell, Ohio, and Ralph M. Meta, 34, of Poland, Ohio, each have been  charged with theft, criminal trespass and conspiracy to commit theft for stealing 75 metal pipe ends at 9:44 a.m. May 28 from American Cap Co., 15 Church St., Wheatland, police said. The men were seen loading the scrap into a pickup, and the witness followed them into Ohio, where they were arrested by Hubbard police, police said. They are being held in Trumbull County Jail.

State police

• Best Wings USA Inc.., 101 Chestnut St., Sharon, has been cited by for allegedly violating liquor law by failing to notify of a change of manager, of a change of officers, directors and/or shareholders in 2013, police said.

• Five Mercer County residents were taken to a local hospital after a car pulled into the path of the minivan they were in at 5:01 p.m. Saturday on East Lake Road, South Shenango Township, Crawford County, police said.

Van driver Jamie L. Wright, 24, of Mercer, and passengers Anndraea L. Beaver, 24, of Greenville; a 5-year-old boy from, Mercer; a 1-year-old girl from Mercer; and a 4-year-old girl from Transfer all were taken to the hospital for what police believed to be minor injuries, police said.

Wright was northbound when the car driven by Oksana N. Servey, 44, of Meadville, turned left in front of the van, police said.

Jamestown volunteer firefighters assisted, police said.

• Eric J. Diethorn, 24, of Grove City, was taken to Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township, for what police called a moderate injury after he crashed his motorcycle into a ditch at 12:24 p.m. Friday on Georgetown Road, Irwin Township, Venango County, police said.

• A Mercer man escaped injury after his car hit a cow at 11:37 p.m. Saturday on Pulaski Mercer Road, east of Angel Road, Wilmington Township, police said.

Police did not say how the bovine fared.

Joshua A. Thompson, 32, was eastbound when he hit the cow, police said. The cow was thrown onto the car’s roof, where it stayed until Thompson stopped 160 feet later, throwing the cow into a ditch, police said.

• Courtney L. Mac Innes, 33, of Chicago, was cited with careless driving for falling asleep at the wheel at 5:26 p.m. Thursday on Interstate 80 westbound, east of Mercer West Middlesex Road, Shenango Township, police said. Her car hit an embankment and rolled at least once, police said. She was taken to a local hospital for what police described as a moderate injury, police said.

• A television and jewelry were stolen in a home burglary May 15 in the 100 block of Slater Road, Lake Township, police said. A door was left unlocked, police said.

• A motorcycle making illegal passes hit a car and then drove away at 8:53 p.m. May 25 on Perry Highway at New Castle Mercer Road, East Lackawannock Township, police said.

Minnie I. Shearer, 66, of Volant, was stopped waiting for traffic to make a left turn, and four or five cars were stopped behind her, police said. The motorcycle illegally passed all of the stopped vehicles on the left and hit the car’s front bumper when Shearer started making her turn, police said.

The biker wore a green helmet and drove a cafe racer style motorcycle, police said.

• Deron R. Tanner, 47, of New Castle, has been cited with harassment for grabbing a 21-year-old Grove City man May 22 at Grove City Premium Outlets, Springfield Township, police said.

• Travis L.J. Schwab, 23, of Jackson Center, has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver for having pot on him when he was searched by agents of the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole at 11 a.m. Wednesday at 878 Franklin Road, Jackson Township, police said.



• John N. Yoho, 41, of Orangeville; at 2:36 a.m. May 24 in the 100 block of North Hermitage Road; also charged with driving under suspension and a lane violation.

• Emily A. Greer, 24, of 204 Second Ave., Sharon; at 6:54 p.m. May 21 at East State Street and Maple Drive; also charged with accident involving damage to vehicle or attended property and failing to stop at an accident.

Mercer County sheriff

• Debra M. Kerr, 41, of 1101 S. Lake Road, Jefferson Township; at 1:57 a.m. May 25 in Hermitage; also charged with driving under suspension and a turn violation.
