- — Hermitage

• Joseph Welty, 27, of 299 Smith Ave., Hermitage, was charged with two counts of simple assault and harassment for biting and scratching two men at 7:42 p.m. June 1 in the 200 block of Smith, and punching one of those men in the head, spitting on another man and attempting to bite others at 10 p.m. Sunday at home, police said.

• Jeffrey E. Fincher, 26, of Kent Ohio, was charged with theft and conspiracy to commit theft for returning a stolen pet training device for a $106 refund April 27 at Walmart, 1275 N. Hermitage Road, police said.

• Dustin R. Golub, 28, of 400 Greenwood Ave., Hermitage, was charged with burglary and harassment for entering a home at 9:23 a.m. Monday in the 2100 block of Lorenwood Drive without permission, slapping a sleeping woman and taking keys from her, police said.

• Adam R. Kahl, 35, of 1976 Rombold Road, Hermitage, was charged with unlawful restraint, simple assault, possession of Alprazolam and Trazadone without prescriptions, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness for tackling a woman to the ground at 8:28 p.m. Tuesday at home, police said. The woman found the prescription meds in his truck, police said.

• Philip B. Tantuo, 20, of 3465 Mount Hickory Blvd., Hermitage, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia for having a bag of pot on him when he was arrested on a warrant from Southwest Mercer County Regional police for criminal trespass at 2:09 p.m. Saturday at home, police said.

• Tasha A. Floch, 31, of Crawford County, was charged with aggravated and simple assault, stalking, reckless endangerment and reckless driving for driving ahead of a pickup and slowing down, causing the pickup to run into the back of her car, at 11 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of North Hermitage Road, police said. Southwest Mercer County Regional police arrested her on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Farrell, police said.


• Justin A. Baumgardner, 27, of 1342 Bend Road, Lackawannock Township, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and criminal use of a cellular telephone for using a phone to set up a marijuana sale with a woman at a Coolspring Township parking lot, police said. Police said they found digital scales with pot residue on them in Baumgardner’s sport-utility vehicle at about 5:10 p.m. May 21, police said.


State police

• Michael J. Lopata, 58, of Pittsburgh; at 12:14 p.m. May 22 on the Interstate 79 exit ramp at Route 208, Springfield Township; also charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct for grabbing a woman by the hair and punching her kicking her in the head.
