- — Hermitage

• Shavone L. Roberts, 20, of 825 S. Oakland Ave., Sharon, has been charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and a red light violation for having a bag of pot in her purse when she was pulled over at 10:53 p.m. Sunday at North Hermitage and Lamor roads, police said.

• Bryan S. Monroe, 30, of 1283 Foxwood Drive, Hermitage, has been charged with simple assault and harassment for throwing and breaking items, grabbing a man and telling him to sit down at 9:48 p.m. Saturday at home, police said.

• Danielle E. Gordon, 29, of Yorba Linda, Calif., has been charged with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief for throwing a man to the ground, hitting him several times, ripping his T-shirt and breaking a chain at 7:24 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Superior Street, police said.

• Ashley M. Scharba, 23, of 92 Second Ave., Sharon, has been charged with theft for serving her brother and his friends at 5:41 p.m. June 12 at Eat’n Park, 2270 E. State St., where she worked, and failing to charge them, police said. She transferred the $102 bill to takeout to try to deceive management, police said.

• Leeann Juranovich, 46, of 136 Shenango Blvd., Farrell, was arrested at 8:16 p.m. June 26 in the 2200 block of East State Street on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, driving an unregistered car and a turn violation, police said.

South Pymatuning Township

• Residents have reported three residential burglaries since April 20, police said.

The daytime break-ins took place in the 5000 block of Tamarack Drive; 3000 block of Seneca Road; and 4000 block of Thomason Road, police said.

Southwest Mercer County Regional

• A gold necklace was stolen from a car, which had damage done to its windshield and rearview mirror, at 5:39 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of Roemer Blvd., Farrell, police said.

State police

• A Fredonia man reported Monday that a dirt bike he owned was stolen over the last four months, police said.

The 2004 Kawasaki KLX 110 motorcycle owned by Wendell Foust III, 21, was taken from 19 Grassinger Lane, Findley Township, police said.

• Nicholas Allen Kline is awaiting extradition after his arrest Monday in Georgia on a state police warrant accusing him of theft.

Kline, 20, of Greenville Mercer Road, Jefferson Township, stole baseball cards and other sports collectibles between February and April from the home of Alicia Turk, 489 S. Otter St., Mercer, police said. The items were discovered at a local business where Kline had sold them $30 and they have since been returned to Turk, police said.

Kline fled the area after learning he had been charged with burglary, theft, criminal trespassing and receiving stolen property, police said.

• Someone stole boating equipment between June 23 and Saturday from a Lake Latonka resident, police said.

The 71-year-old victim reported the theft of two red Tamarack kayaks and a white standup paddle board.

• An unnamed inmate set fire to a cell at about 7:30 p.m. Friday at State Correctional Institution at Mercer in Findley Township, police said.

A guard and one of the suspects put out the minor blaze, police said.

• Steven M. McClimans, 23, of Adamsville has been charged with receiving stolen property and illegal firearm sale for trading a 12-gauge shotgun for a 9 mm semiautomatic pistol Jan. 27 at Elite Firearms, 1400 N. Hermitage Road, police said. McClimans and Robert H. Eastman, 23, of Wheatland went to Elite to complete the paperwork for the trade, police said. However, McClimans was denied after a background check, police said. The men decided to swap anyway, police said. The pistol was recovered Feb. 18 when a man was threatening suicide, police said. Charges against Eastman are pending in common pleas court.

• Matthew G. Pecorelli, 30, of Sharpsville, has been charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and driving an unregistered vehicle for having pot in his vehicle when it was stopped at a safety checkpoint at 3:50 p.m. May 29 on Sampson Street in Union Township, Lawrence County, police said.

• Sean E. Woody, 46, of the State Correctional Institution at Mercer in Findley Township, and Esther L. Davenport, 45, of Pittsburgh, each have been charged with possession of a controlled substance and furnishing a controlled substance to an inmate after Davenport kissed Woody while visiting him Jan. 31 at the prison, and orally transferring to him three balloons containing drugs, which he swallowed, police said.

Guards noticed the transfer and recovered the drugs when Woody had a bowel movement three days later, police said.

• Timothy A. Pickard, 31, of Sharon, has been charged with theft and bad checks for passing a check on a closed account Jan. 2 at County Market, 49 Pine Grove Square, Pine Township, police said.

• Ross E. Holsapfel, 40, of 178 Horvath Farms Road, Lackawannock Township; at 3:17 a.m. June 23 in the 4100 block of East State Street.

WARRANT ARREST

Southwest Mercer County Regional

• Paula L. Swartzfager, 50, of 3752 N. Hermitage Road, Pymatuning Township; at 10:16 p.m. Tuesday at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Kennedy Street, Wheatland, on a felony warrant from Arizona, charging her with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Police encountered her when they responded to a call of suspicious people.
