- — Greenville-West Salem Township

• Heather Marie Dame, 21, of 127 S. Mercer St., Greenville, was charged at 2:47 p.m. Sunday in Sheetz, 294 Main St., Greenville, with possession of heroin and paraphernalia after police said they found a spoon and syringe in the restroom. She allegedly shot up heroin in the restroom and told the manager about it, police said.

Hempfield Township

• Cherish M. Hauser, 29, of 2225 Fry Road, Jamestown, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia at 5:36 p.m. Feb. 12 in Unique Hair, 100 Hadley Road, after police said they found four pieces of aluminum foil with suspected heroin residue, a spoon for preparing the drug, and two syringes for injecting. Hauser admitted to shooting up heroin, police said.

Hauser also had an outstanding warrant out of the district attorney’s office for a drunken driving arrest, police said.

• Stephanie Marie Paris, 21, of 7180 U.S. Route 322, Williamsfield, Ohio, was arrested at 3:52 p.m. Thursday after police found her sitting in her car in a Williamson Road parking lot, searched her car and found a small amount of marijuana and a small plastic container, police said. Paris was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

• Wendell J. Horst, 19, Perry Highway, Fredonia, was arrested at 5:06 p.m. Feb. 10 at Walmart, 45 Williamson Road, after he stole hamburger patties and cheese slices, police said.

Horst was charged with carrying a firearm without a license, retail theft and possession and transportation of alcohol after stolen property from the store, alcohol and a handgun were found in his car, police said.

• Steven Buckley, 55, of Greenville was treated at UPMC Horizon, Greenville, after his car was hit at 7:35 a.m. Feb. 7 at Methodist and Greenville-Sheakleyville roads in Sugar Grove Township by a sport utility vehicle driven by a 33-year-old Hadley woman, police said.

• Someone slashed tires of a car between 1:30 and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 31 in the parking lot of Hibbit Sports, while the owner was working there, police said.

Pymatuning Township

• Pamela Ward, 51, unknown address, was charged Jan. 26 with forgery, theft and receiving stolen property for incidents Nov. 18 and 19 in the 3000 block of North Hermitage Road in which she stole three checks from a man, police said.


• Edward Dungee IV, 29, of 275 Sterling Ave., Sharon, faces charges after police said they saw him walking in the traffic lane of East State Street at about 12:30 a.m. Monday near Oakland Avenue.

Dungee initially refused to identify himself but a patrolman recognized him and discovered • Trumbull County warrant for him for violating probation, police said.

In his backpack, he had two bags of suspected marijuana, a grinder, a scale and a pipe with suspected marijuana residue, police said.

Dungee was taken to Mercer County Jail after his arraignment, police said.

Southwest Mercer County Regional

• Police said they found five 7.62 mm spent shell casings when they responded to a shots-fired call at 1:10 a.m. Friday in the 1300 block of Farrell Terrace, Farrell, but no signs of property damage or injured persons.

• About 30 cast iron rolls of scrap metal were stolen from a rear Dumpster of Bertram Tool and Machine Co., 1201 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Farrell, said police, who were notified at 7:58 p.m. Monday. A lock was cut off a gate, police said.

• A 17-year-old boy faces a juvenile court prosecution stemming from an unwanted party call at 3:08 a.m. Saturday at the Red Roof Inn, 2700 Wilson Road, Shenango Township, police said.

Police said they could hear loud noises when they approached a room and knocked on the door. Two people, including the juvenile, jumped out the window, but were arrested, police said. The boy was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct, and released to a parent, police said.




West Salem Township

• Bertha Irene Simmons, 56, of 1032 Vernon Road, West Salem Township; charged Tuesday for a Feb. 1 incident Feb. 1 at Main and South Mercer streets in Greenville, police said.

Pymatuning Township

• Christopher Swartzbeck, 44, of 3090 Valley View Road, South Pymatuning Township; at 12:45 a.m. Feb. 11 at Reynolds Industrial Park Road and Brentwood Drive, after his vehicle got stuck in the snow on the opposite side of the road, police said. Also charged with careless driving and restriction of alcoholic beverages when police found a soda can filled a quarter of the way with vodka, police said.


• Antonio Crespo, 56, Youngstown; at 1 a.m. Friday on Bank Place where he was found sleeping in his pickup, stopped on the roadway.

• Michael Marshal Jr., 32, of 701 Union St., Farrell; at 3 a.m.what day? after a one-vehicle crash in the 900 block of East State Street; also charged with resisting arrest; taken to Mercer County Jail after failing to post bond at his arraignment.

Southwest Mercer County Regional

• John W. Byler, 21, of Girard, Ohio; at 3:47 a.m. Saturday in the 3500 block of Sharon Road, West Middlesex, where his southbound vehicle hit a utility pole; also charged with tampering with evidence, a lane violation and careless driving.


Hempfield Township

• Robert Zeman, 19, of 105 Mehard Ave., Greenville; at 10:45 p.m. Jan. 29 on a warrant out of Mercer County Common Pleas Court. He was taken to Mercer County Jail, police said.
