Police, fire from Sept. 28, 2013


ä Two people were injured when two cars collided at 8:04 p.m. Wednesday on Mercer-New Wilmington Road at Shannon Drive in East Lackawannock Township, police said.

Juliann M. Sheldon, 23, of New Kensington, and Courtney E. Polka, 22, of Apollo, were treated at Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township, for minor injuries, police and a hospital spokeswoman said.

Sheldon pulled on Shannon to make a U-turn and drove onto Mercer-New Wilmington without yielding to a car driven by Devin M. Greig, 22 of Mercer, police said.

ä Richard A. Yeager, 57, of Mercer, has been charged with harassment for shoving and hitting a 26-year-old man, a 20-year-old woman and a 57-year-old woman at 12:05 a.m. Sept. 5 in the 1700 block of Lake Road, Jefferson Township, police said.

ä Aaron M. Roberts, 19, of Greenville, has been cited with harassment for shoving a 20-year-old woman against a car and onto the ground at 3:30 a.m. Sept. 8 in the 700 block of Mercer Road, Delaware Township, police said.

ä Someone damaged a shed door Sept. 19 or 20 in the 1600 block of Rutledge Road, Delaware Township, police said.

ä A television, a video game system and a jewelry was stolen in a home burglary between 8:15 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday at a home on Hadley Road, Perry Township, police said. A back door was forced open and a suspicious vehicle was seen parked between the home and a detached garage, police said.

ä Jewelry, a credit card and medication were stolen in a home burglary Sept. 11 in the 1400 block of Carlton Road, French Creek Township, police said.

ä Various aluminum items were stolen between 5 p.m. Sept. 14 and 2:30 p.m. Sunday from the side yard of a home in the 1400 block of North Perry Highway, Fairview Township, police said.

ä Marvin E. Fry, 31, of Sandy Lake has been charged with simple assault and harassment for his actions against a woman and a man at 7:17 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of Carlton Road, Mill Creek Township, police said.
