Police, fire from Jan. 13, 2014

Brookfield

Police charged Roger A. Robinson, 19, of 7981 Second St., with domestic violence after an incident Thursday night.

The victim, a 53-year-old male, was allegedly assaulted by Robinson, police said, and required treatment at Sharon Regional Health System for bruises to the head and face and an arm laceration.

Robinson, who refused medical treatment, had a laceration on his foot, police said. The argument started about 6 p.m., police said, and ended when they were called at 8:30 p.m.

Hermitage

ä Police are investigating a purse snatching that happened in a parking lot at 2235 East State St. at 3:15 p.m. Saturday. The victim told police she was approaching the store’s entrance when she felt a something jerk the right side of her body. Her purse was taken and although witnesses ran after the subject, they could not catch him. He drove away in a maroon Chevrolet Blazer. She said money, credit cards and her identification were stolen.

ä Police were called to the 3000 block of Marylane Drive after a homeowner reported a small amount of change stolen from his garage and the building ransacked. The incident happened between 7 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.

Pennsylvania State Police

ä Police charged Chad Michael Magee, 31, of Grove City with harrassment after a woman said he punched her in the head at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday. The victim said Magee broke down a door at her home in the 2000 block of Mercer Street in Stoneboro and punched her, causing a minor injury to her face and ear.

ä Two men from the Bronx section of New York City were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and possession with intent to deliver cocaine after police found an ounce of cocaine in their vehicle while they were stopped for a traffic violation. Unable to post $250,000 bail, Acedo Alberto Gustavo, 30, and Junior P. Nepomuceno, 29, both of New York, were taken to Mercer County Jail.
