Police, Fire from May 20, 2014

- — Grove City

• A tire, suitcases and a tub with stuff inside were stolen from a garage unit at 311 W. Main St., Grove City, between 6 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 a.m. Monday, police said.

• Andrew Klaus, 24, of 106 Old Forge Road, Slippery Rock, was charged with theft by deception, police said. The charges were the result of a theft from Bobo Rice Bowl restaurant, investigated in March and April.

• A harassment citation was filed Saturday after a 19-year-old and a 15-year-old got into a fight at Grove City High School, police said. Jacob Graham, 19, of 316 Opre Avenue, subjected a student to unnecessary physical contact, police said.

• Police filed felony charges against two students at Grove City Middle School for delivery of a controlled substance. The charges are from an incident April 27, when two students, ages 14 and 12, allegedly sold marijuana to another 14-year-old.

Southwest Mercer County Regional

• Police arrested Allen Frieson, 44, of 932 Darr Ave., Farrell, and charged him with public drunkenness. Frieson was found staggering around near Hamilton Avenue and Union Street, police said.

• A man’s laptop was stolen from the sub-100 block of Dream Boulevard, Farrell, after he allowed a man and woman to take it to their car to video chat with someone. The man and woman subsequently drove away with the laptop.

• Damage was done Saturday to the front door and window of Jac’s Kitchen and Counter, 700 Beechwood Ave., Farrell, police said.

• A Glock 9 mm handgun was stolen Saturday from a bedroom of a home in the 300 block of Emerson Avenue, police said.

• A 16-year-old West Middlesex boy was cited for a curfew violation at about 4 a.m. Sunday, police said. The boy was riding his bike with two others on the 3400 block of Sharon Road and fled when police arrived. They said the boy was released to his parents.


Jefferson Township

• Cal R. Hoover, 45, of 505 St. Johns Road, Delaware Township; at 8 p.m. Saturday on Route 258 hear Charleston Road; also charged with a lane violation, reckless driving and careless driving.

State police

• Ann E. Finnegan, 46, of 401 Fairview Road, Fairview Township; at 12:50 a.m. May 5 in the 1300 block of Greenville Sheakleyville Road, Sheakleyville, where her vehicle went into a ditch and rolled over; also charged with driving without registration, a lane violation, driving at an unsafe speed and careless driving.
